I'm from London in the UK where I lived and grew up. At the age of 33 I immigrated to Canada, in search of the big wild outdoors, opportunities, and new adventures. I was attracted to this vast country with its population of almost half that of England, over 40 times its surface area and the home of a lot of water.
Although Montreal, on Canada’s east coast, was my home for 16 years, where I was touched by the warmth of the people and the beautiful multicultural mix of communities from all over the world, I have more recently based myself in Calgary, Alberta on the west side of Canada. I consider myself a global citizen, living a life of freedom, wherever my curiosity takes me.
I’m a visual artist, filmmaker, storyteller and entrepreneur. My medium of choice as a Visual Artist is painting and drawing, and I’ve been working in the entertainment business since 1997 as a sculptor-mold maker and scenic painter.
I make sets for films and TV shows, and I've also worked on many productions as a prosthetic make-up artist, making creature FX for films like Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Brothers Grimm, Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, James Bond. I‘ve sculpted and painted sets for films like X-Men, Moonfall and most recently TV shows Under The Banner Of Heaven and The Last Of Us.
Since 2008 I have been focusing on painting and drawing. In 2012 my work was exhibited in London and New York, and in my first solo show in a public gallery, Galerie D, Montreal. Since then I have been part of group exhibitions in Nova Scotia, Ottawa and Montreal, and had my work selected in the PAS Biennial juried exhibition, where my work won the Founders prize in 2017. Two of my portraits got through the first round of selection in 2011 for the juried BP Portrait Award, and the Royal Society of Portrait Painters Exhibition, London UK.
I studied fine art in London, UK where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Fine Art Sculpture, from Chelsea College of Art and Design, and a National Diploma in foundation studies, from Central St.Martin’s School of Art and Design. My work can be found in private collections throughout Europe and North America.
My curious nature leads me to challenge and question the status quo, addressing issues surrounding the interconnectedness of humanity with relation to the health of our environment.
My mission is to develop unity within Humanity and work towards a world of appreciation and connection, using storytelling and creativity as the channel of communication, and a conduit to change and transformation
